Collagen, a protein that is part of the dermis conjunctive tissue, makes the skin thicker and more elastic. With age, those fibers become fragile and their diameter becomes smaller, causing losses in elasticity and firmness. Hydrolyzed collagen is able to stimulate collagen synthesis and increases the smoothness of the skin. Matrixyl® stimulates collagen synthesis by regenerating connective tissue, which helps maintain elasticity and reestablishes the characteristics of younger skin.
Hydrolyzed elastin increases skin’s biodynamic properties, getting its elasticity and flexibility back. Lactic acid is an alpha-hydroxyacid that has rejuvenating actions and stimulates epidermis renovation. In addition, Lactic acid is an important moisturizing agent and contributes to lightening skin dark spots.
